On November 10, 2022, Samdech Techo Hun Sen met with HE Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on the occasion of his participation in the 40-41 ASEAN Summit and related meetings in Cambodia.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister and His Excellency the President of the Philippines discussed ASEAN issues and how to maintain ASEAN unity and centrality. The two leaders also discussed and agreed to boost bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, agriculture, rice exports to the Philippines, information technology, logistics and defense.
Regarding rice exports to the Philippines, Samdech Techo informed HE Ferdinand Marcos JR that Philippine companies can invest 100% in rice mills, dryers and warehouses for rice collection, drying and milling for export to the Philippines. .
