South Korean president vows to increase aid and encourage investors to come to Cambodia
Phnom Penh÷South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol has pledged to double aid and encourage more investment in Cambodia.
The President of the Republic of Korea made the remarks during a working meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen on Friday afternoon, November 11, 2022.
The President also expressed his appreciation for the bilateral cooperation, especially in the areas of trade, investment, government-to-government relations, the private and public sectors, and the people and the people.
The South Korean president confirmed that in just 25 years, the trade volume between the two countries has increased 20 times. This growth in trade, Korea considers the sustainable development of Cambodia as a good priority.
It should be noted that Cambodia and South Korea reconnected on October 30, 1997 after a direct initiative by Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia and His Excellency Kim Yong San.
