The National Assembly highly appreciates the results of the 43rd AIPA General Assembly, which was hosted by the Cambodian National Assembly at the end of November.
Phnom Penh៖Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly, on Tuesday morning, December 20, 2022, chaired a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee at the National Assembly building to review the important achievements of the National Assembly in the past.
The meeting summed up the results and praised the work of organizing the 43rd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA43), which the Cambodian Parliament hosted last November, was a great success that brought prestige. Motherland in the international arena, especially the strengthening of the Cambodian parliamentary diplomacy in the international arena, in order to strengthen and expand cooperation with parliaments at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
The 43rd IPA General Assembly, hosted by the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, was held from 20 to 25 November 2022 under the theme “Taking a Step Together for Sustainability, Environment and Resilience”. The theme responds to the realities of the region and the world after the Kovid-19 outbreak.
Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly and President of the 43rd IPA General Assembly, expressed his deepest gratitude to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Samdech thanked the leaders of the National Assembly, the Secretary General of the National Assembly, and all civil servants who worked hard, sacrificed their physical and mental strength to serve the General Assembly with great success.
