Phnom Penh: Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, urged East Timor to establish investment in Cambodia, such as rice mills, dryers and export to East Timor.
On October 20, 2022, Samdech Techo Hun Sen met with HE Dr. Jose Ramos-Horta, President of East Timor, during his official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
In this meeting, HE President of East Timor thanked Samdech Techo Hun Sen for the Royal Government of Cambodia for supporting Timor-Leste in the areas of national development, social stability and membership in the ASEAN Community. And recently, Cambodia has helped Timor-Leste to support the Kovid-19 vaccine, along with other medical facilities.
His Excellency also informed Samdech Techo that His Excellency visited Cambodia and saw the progress of Cambodia. At the same time, relations between the two countries are developing.
In this regard, HE also reiterated to Samdech Techo that he wishes to expand and strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries through direct flights between the two countries and promote trade between the two countries. Also.
In response, Samdech Techo Hun Sen also congratulated His Excellency on his re-election as President for the second time. Samdech Techo stated that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the two countries’ relations.
