Samdech Techo Hun Sen Welcomes Vietnamese PM to Pay Official Visit to Cambodia
Phnom Penh: Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on the morning of November 8, 2022, welcomed HE Pham Minh Chinh.
(Pham Minh Chinh) Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the occasion of his two-day official visit to Cambodia.
The official welcoming ceremony for His Excellency the Prime Minister of Vietnam was held at the Peace Palace with the participation of officials of the Royal Government of Cambodia, representatives of Vietnam and diplomats in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
It should be noted that at the invitation of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, HE Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of Vietnam, led a high-level delegation to pay an official visit to Cambodia from November 8 to 9, 2022. On the occasion of this visit, HE Pham Minh Chinh will pay homage to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia in the Royal Palace. The Prime Minister of Vietnam will pay a separate courtesy call on Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdey Say Chhum, President of the Senate, and Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly.
Prime Minister Hun Sen and HE Pham Minh Chinh will hold bilateral talks at the Peace Palace, focusing on strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation as well as a number of regional and international issues of common concern. After the meeting, the two Prime Ministers will preside over the signing ceremony of a number of bilateral cooperation documents.
During his stay in Phnom Penh, HE Pham Minh Chinh will lay a wreath at the Independence Monument, at the statue of His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk, “His Majesty the King” and at the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Palace.
The Vietnamese Prime Minister’s visit coincides with the celebration of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which is designated as the “Year of Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship.”
