Samdech Techo Hun Sen Presides Over the Opening Ceremony of ASEAN Business and Investment Summit 2022
Phnom Penh: Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, this morning, Thursday, November 10, 2022, presided over the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit 2022. The meeting was held at Sofitel Phuket Tra Phnom Penh.
The ASEAN Business and Investment Summit is a major event in Southeast Asia and an important forum for the business community to meet directly with country leaders and company presidents to address challenges in Southeast Asia.
The meeting was attended by leaders of ASEAN member countries, senior dignitaries of ASEAN countries and ASEAN partners, embassies of ASEAN member countries and ASEAN partner countries, ASEAN Business Advisory Council, National and International Business, Speakers, Capital-Provincial Chamber of Commerce, International Chamber of Commerce. Business associations, development partners and representatives of other relevant ministries and institutions.
According to Duke Kith Meng, President of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, the theme of this year’s ASEAN Business and Investment Summit is set in line with the Royal Government’s theme: All together.
The duke highlighted that Southeast Asia is facing a challenging time. The effects of geopolitics, rising inflation, supply chain constraints and different levels of economic recovery make it difficult for 2022. As the economy seeks to return to normalcy, it is imperative that we work together not only to address challenges but also to work together to create a digital and climate-friendly future.
