Samdech Techo Hun Sen Holds a Press Conference to Present the Outcome of the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits
Phnom Penh: At the Peace Palace on the afternoon of November 13, 2022, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Chair of the 2022 ASEAN Chairmanship, held a press conference to present the results of the ASEAN Summit. The press conference was also attended by more than 50 national and international journalists.

The run-up to the ASEAN Summit 2022, hosted by Cambodia, went smoothly and successfully. He also thanked all ASEAN leaders and partner countries and international organizations for visiting Cambodia during the meeting.
Samdech Techo also congratulated the King and Samdech Mey and all the people of Cambodia on the success of the ASEAN Summit. Regarding the process of organizing the meeting, Samdech Techo also expressed his appreciation to the Cambodian security forces who provided security for the ASEAN leaders who came to attend the meeting in Cambodia well and safely.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also commended His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhon, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, for his efforts in organizing the meeting until it was a resounding success.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen said that there are two reasons why important leaders came to the meeting in Cambodia: 1) the peace factor in Cambodia and 2) better management of Kovid-19.
Samdech Techo said that this is the third success because Cambodia has already hosted three ASEAN meetings in 2002, 2012 and 2022, but Samdech Techo announced that Samdech can not move forward. To be the fourth chair of ASEAN in 2033, because at that time the prince was over 80 years old.
Also in this press conference, Samdech Techo Hun Sen spoke about the gift of a watch that Samdech gave to the ASEAN leaders in order to show what the Cambodians can do because the watch that Samdech gave to the class That ASEAN leader is made in Cambodia, that is, Samdech wants to confirm to foreigners that now Cambodian children can produce Cambodian watches for ASEAN leaders. Samdech Techo also revealed that a commemorative watch as a gift to ASEAN leaders costs about $ 20,000 each.
Addressing the media regarding the Ukraine issue, Samdech Techo Hun Sen stated that Cambodia does not send troops or provide military assistance to Ukraine, only joins Japan in helping to clear demining training for Ukraine. Samdech Techo also expressed regret that the Russian and Ukrainian foreign ministers did not meet in Cambodia to find a solution.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also said that the success of the ASEAN Summit is the prestige of Cambodia for the next generation.
