Samdech Techo Hun Sen Presides Over the Closing Ceremony of the 30th Anniversary of the National Convention on Mine Action in Cambodia
This morning, November 22, 2022, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, presided over the closing ceremony of the 30th Anniversary of the National Convention on Mine Action in Cambodia. Held at Koh Pich Center.
Please be informed that the Cambodian Authority for Mine Action and Mine Action Disaster Relief on the afternoon of November 21, 2022 opened the 30th Anniversary of the National Convention on Mine Action in Cambodia under the theme “Provide safe land, create a smile” on November 22 is the closing ceremony of the conference to summarize the work results as well as show the achievements of 30 years of demining activities in Cambodia.
The closing ceremony of this morning’s meeting will be attended by officials of the Royal Government of Cambodia, representatives of the United Nations Development Program in Cambodia, Ambassadors of the Embassy in Cambodia, Mr. Oknha, Ladies and Gentlemen, Representatives of the private sector, national and international guests, operators. Mine representatives of civil society organizations, representatives of beneficiaries, representatives of victims as well.
The purpose of the 30th anniversary, as well as the closing ceremony of the General Assembly, is to celebrate the historic achievements of mine action over the past 30 years, which we, the Royal Government of Cambodia, development partners, friendly countries, national and international organizations, and the mine action community. All have provided full support, goodwill, compassion, dedication and high commitment to addressing the threat of landmines and explosive remnants of war in Cambodia.
