Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng Presides Over the Inauguration Ceremony of a New School Building of Chrey High School in Thmor Koul District, Battambang Province
Phnom Penh: Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Royal Government Working Group visited Battambang province this morning, Wednesday, November 30, 2022, presided over the inauguration ceremony of a new school building. 1 building, 2 floors, equal to 12 rooms of Chrey High School and achievements in Kbal Khmoch village, Chrey commune, Thmor Kol district, Battambang province, with the participation of members of the Royal Government, Chairman of Provincial Council – Provincial Governor, Provincial Commissioner, Department around , Teachers, students and many more citizens.
On that occasion, Mr. Chea Sambath, Governor of Thmor Koul District, made a brief report to Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng and Ang on the overall situation and development of Thmor Koul District that Thmor Koul District has a total area of 81,700 hectares with a total population of 31,315 families. 119,865 people, including 61,239 women. Under the leadership of the Royal Government of Cambodia, with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Interior, for 2022, all levels of administration and all local authorities of Thmor Koul District Strengthen the protection and maintenance of security, public order and social security with the implementation of safe village-commune policy, improve security and order throughout the district.
He added that in 2022, drug offenses were cracked down on 36 times, 40 people were arrested, 28 people were sent to drug treatment centers (Bavel), and 48 people were arrested. 107 gambling crackdowns, 116 people, 92 women, education and contracting on the spot. There were 19 traffic accidents, killing 14 people and injuring 35 people (12 females), including 20 seriously injured (7 females).
At the same time, the district governor said that in the education sector throughout the district, there are 58 schools, equivalent to 162 schools, 669 classrooms, 777 teachers, 430 females, 34 contract teachers, 25 females. In the field of agriculture, in 2022, Thmor Koul district plans to cultivate 57,900 hectares.
He continued that this year, Thmor Koul district suffered from floods, which caused the rice yield of farmers to decline, due to the attention and efforts of the authorities at all levels, especially Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo. Prime Minister Hun Sen provided 2,478 tons of rice seeds, equivalent to 2,478 hectares, by bringing water from Kamping Puoy Basin and other water sources to help people replant.
For OWSO services: The OWSO office in Thmor Koul district has started providing services from December 4, 2017 to the present until November 2022. Provision of services in 2022, a total of 23,412 services, including: 10,826 legalizations, 12,205 registrations, 08 tourism, 24 culture, 107 trade, handicrafts 3, 16 health sectors. Education, Youth and Sports: 08, Agriculture: 118 Public Works and Transport, 68 New Construction.
The district governor added that social work, by taking into account the well-being and livelihood of the people, the district administration has implemented the policy of the Royal Government to provide monthly allowances to the poor with disabilities in Thmor Koul district. 1,349 people, 11,374 poor families and 3,311 vulnerable families.
