HE Sak Setha Presented to Banteay Meanchey Provincial Heritage Protection Police Headquarters
Phnom Penh: His Excellency Sak Setha, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, High Representative Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Interior, presides over here this morning the handing over ceremony of the temple Banteay Chhmar, Banteay Meanchey Province.
The ceremony was also attended by His Excellency General Santibandit Mao Bunnarin, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Interior, His Excellency General Seng Youan, Director General of the General Department of Logistics and Finance, Ministry of Interior, His Excellency Lt. Gen. Lim Phan Phea, Director of the Central Department of Public Order. His Excellency Lt. Gen. Neth Savoeun, Commissioner General of the National Police, His Excellency Lt. Gen. Bin Mony, Director of the Department of Construction and Engineering, His Excellency Lt. Gen. Ly Lay, Director of the Department of Heritage Protection Police, and His Excellency Lok Chumteav Deputy as well as many other relevant institutions.
His Excellency Sak Setha, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, welcomed and conveyed the greetings from Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, praising and appreciating all relevant units for their hard work. Commitment to complete the construction of the Heritage Protection Police Headquarters as planned to become a strong defense headquarters to protect security, safety, public order for national-international delegations, national and international tourists, as well as the protection of property National culture, prevention of all destructive activities such as theft of artifacts or illegal mining and transportation of artifacts, etc.
It should be noted that the building of the Police Headquarters for the Protection of Heritage in Banteay Chhmar Temple is located in Banteay Chhmar Cheung Village, Banteay Chhmar Commune, Thmor Puok District, Banteay Meanchey Province. Construction began from February 6, 2022 to August 13, 2018. 2022 Built by the Department of Construction and Engineering of the General Department of Logistics, Ministry of Interior. Banteay Chhmar is the main temple, 60 km north of Banteay Meanchey town, with 770m x 690m moat, including 9 satellite temples, and 700m east of Banteay Chhmar. Mebon Baray Basin, size 1800m x 800m. In addition, in the area of Banteay Chhmar temple, there are 20 intangible temples, 15 ancient hills, 11 tombs and 3 ancient roads.
