His Excellency Hun Manet Congratulates the People of Tbong Khmum Province, which has been declared the 6th demining province nationwide

Phnom Penh: His Excellency Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, Deputy Commander of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, Commander of the Land Forces, joined in the celebration with the people of Tbong Khmum province, which has been declared the sixth demining province in the country after Stung Treng, Sihanoukville, Prey Veng, Kep and Phnom Penh.

On the occasion of the High Representative of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia and Chairman of the Mines Authority, congratulated the declaration of “Tbong Khmum Province Mines” on December 15, HE Lt. Gen. Hun Manet said that this event is very meaningful. Great for the nation and the people of Cambodia, because Tbong Khmum is a province with a history of fighting and tragedy of deaths, injuries, disabilities due to the war, as well as traces of the history of Samdech Techo and many other dignitaries to liberate the nation and Save the people.

He added that Tbong Khmum demining means that Cambodia is one step closer to demining across the country in line with the vision and commitment of the Prime Minister for 2025.

His Excellency Dr. emphasized that Cambodia has run out of mines, which also means: First. The Cambodian people will no longer have to worry about being injured, disabled or dying due to landmines. Second. The farmland will be freed from landmines, which are hidden killers waiting to cause harm and as an obstacle to increase the livelihood of the people.
